Let Us Introduce Ourselves…
Founded in 1929, Mt. Lebanon Lutheran Church is one of 8,900 congregations of the 3.14-million-member Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We are a congregation of about 800+ baptized members.
Some of our members were born and raised in this congregation, but the great majority have joined more recently. Many come from a background other than Lutheran, which means that we welcome people from all sorts of faith journeys, and we welcome the questions they bring. What we have in common is a desire to know and love God more deeply and use our gifts to care for all God's people.
As Lutheran Christians…
- We proclaim faith in the Triune God, confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is though His life, death, and resurrection that God redeems and fashions a new creation.
- We recognize the canonical Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God which provides the authoritative norm for life in faith.
- We worship God by proclamation of His Word and administration of His Sacraments, as well as through lives of prayer, witness, and service.
- We care for the sick and the aged, advocate dignity and justice for al people, work for reconciliation and peach among the nations and stand with the poor and powerless, all in response to God’s love for us.
